The climate

The climate is Mediterranean warm of a mountainous character with a medium frequency of rainfalls throughout the year.

The difference of temperature between the day and the night means a slow and progressive maturation that boost the accumulation of flavours and aromas in the fruit. In addition, it receives a high level of ultraviolet rays that helps a better photosynthesis take place, increasing the coloration of the seeds of the grapes.

In this way, we obtain the mature grapes with an optimum balance between sugar and acid, maximum aromatic expression and velvety tannins.

The terroir
The predominant soil is the brownish calcium ground over consolidated material.

The altitude
The vineyards are located at approximately 1.000 meters above sea level.
